There's a Kitty in the Window
DACatToon #12 - Thank You, He'll Miss You
We're getting soooo close to leaving Michigan. So close to the holidays. While here it seemed so silly to make the housekeeping staff come in every day, they have enough work to do without making my bed every day.
Not to mention the poor cats (well one). Dutchie HATES having people in HER house. She is not a fan of people. She loves me. She loves Brian. But even with us, well... we get to hold her when she says so and for a very limited time (about two seconds). She could tell when someone was nearing our hotel door (quite the talent given we're next door to the elevator and two storage closets). She'd run and hide before anyone got the chance to knock, let alone enter. Anyway, we decided to have them only clean once a week, on Friday. Early on it seemed this would be a problem as the first couple of weeks some would enter with the cats and some would not (never mind that I was always here). After a few weeks of debating with them about how the cats were safe but no I couldn't put them in cages = a blessing, we found a lady who loved the cats (well the one that would make himself known to her). Every week since then, she was our Friday housekeeper.
Now that we have only today and next week, I figured I'd draw up a CatToon on behalf of the kitties. One than sums up how they feel about her. I'll be sticking in the Christmas card we're giving her (yes, we're good people who tip her weekly and are giving her a bonus). And yes you should always being doing the same unless you're really really rude bastards. Or Broke. Even then dude, a sincere note maybe?

DACatToon #11 - Halloween 2011
Happy Halloween from the kitties. Oh, yes we do tease Lister about having a cow print and Dutchie about looking like a Halloween kitty (despite having a very subtle red tint you can only see in certain lighting).
Done on 5x7 watercolor paper using inktense pencils and ink.
